Infleqtion
As a photographer with a background in engineering and product design,
I bring a unique combination of creative vision and technical understanding that I think would align perfectly with Infleqtion’s desired aesthetic. Having worked extensively in the Bay Area tech scene, I’ve collaborated with a number of tech focused brands on a range of innovative products from autonomous self-driving to covid vaccines.
Product photography and advertising aside, documenting labs, factories and R&D environments has also been a key part of many of my projects. I’m comfortable in industrial spaces and am adept at figuring out the best lighting and composition to create striking imagery that best highlights the product, space and location.
There’s a lot of potential to elevate Infleqtion’s imagery, and I’m excited to see what’s possible!

The Challenge
The challenge with these types of super technical equipment are that they tend to have a lot going on, so the eye has a hard time figuring out what to focus on. Many components, many differing shapes, colors, etc. They also tend to be very static as subjects, and the environment in which they live is not visually aesthetic or lends itself to depth or interesting composition. They just don’t inherently convey what they do or how they work.
Approaches
Less fill light and more edge lighting, silhouetting, and light emanating from products
Shaping reflections vs removing entirely
Using gel lights to create drama, simplify/unify color palette
Making sure background falls away but still has provides context via lighting, DOF
Superposition: Motion blur or double/triple vision could imply quantum states, etc.
Double exposures, light trails, composites that combine different lighting sources
Utilizing post / AI to add certain effects and supporting backgrounds
